C & J | Marriage Proposal | Anini, Kauai

It’s been said before and I believe it to be true – Kauai is for lovers. The romance is thick in the air. This is why so many people travel here to fall in love, be married, honeymoon, and pop the big question! I am all about the love vibes and you can imagine my giddiness every time I get a call to photograph a proposal – I feel like I’m on a secret mission in the name of love!

My session with Christoffer and Josephine started out with Christoffer reaching out to me to see if I’d be able to help him pull this off. (The answer to this is always yes, by the way). Then we devised a plan of  how it was going to all go down. I waited for them to walk down to the beach and then approached then and introduced myself saying that I was getting some photos for a local magazine and would they mind just walking down the beach for me to photograph them. (hehehe) They agreed and began walking toward me.

Finally, Christoffer got down on one knee and Josephine was completely surprised and said YES! He kept kissing her as she cried tears of joy. So sweet.

Christoffer did such a good job of orchestrating this whole thing and keeping it a secret from Josephine, which made for one of the most genuine and sweetest proposals! Not to mention the ring is gorgeous!
