You know what I’m afraid of? Mango sap, snakes, and poison ivy. You know what I’m NOT afraid of? PDA. In fact, I am all about it, especially when I’m photographing a gorgeous and super in-love couple like Brenda and Scott, who were constantly stealing kisses and wrapping themselves up in each other throughout their portrait session!

Our shoot was at Moloaa Bay. We started in the trees, and then we moved to the sand to change things up a little bit. I love that I didn’t have to prompt them at all to lean in and get close, either. Can’t you feel that passion and heat through your screen? YOWZA!

“Scott and I are happy to get up close and personal together, it’s our 30 year celebration after all. :  ) “

About 20 minutes into our shoot I saw the rainclouds on the horizon. Once the sprinkles turned into a downpour we decided to embrace the weather and make the most of it. They were such champs, laying in the wet sand while the rain beat down and the waves lapped at their feet.

Oh man… I just love the drama that this crazy weather added to our photos.

She told me that she loves photos of his hands…

Yewww! Congratulations to Scott & Brenda on 30 years of marriage and may your relationship be forever filled with passion and love!

My portrait sessions are designed around creating real memories. I am looking to photograph connection, emotion, warmth, and joy between people. It’s not about how we look as much as how we feel.
Brenda showed up to this session with her hair beautifully curled and soft and makeup flawless. She looked radiant. At the end of our session she was completely soaked, sandy, and still gorgeous with a huge smile. She was feeling amazing. Because allowed herself to be in the moment. She allowed herself to have an epic experience with no inhibitions. And I was like Hell to the YAAASSSSSS!!!!! I love to see a woman feel free and cherished.
This is what I am about. Pretty, messy, unexpected, REAL life.
