I want my couples to completely trust me to authentically capture their weddings, and part of that is getting to know them before their day. But because I live on the small Hawaiian island of Kauai, many couples I shoot for are not local, instead they have hired me online to photograph their dream destination wedding. Destination weddings can be tricky, because often I won’t get to meet my bride in person before the big day. This creates a challenge because I want you to enjoy your time, as well as get the great photos you want. Hawaii is one of the most popular places for destination weddings, because of this I have put together a list of 4 things to consider before your Hawaii wedding.

Wedding florals are emphasized by every wedding planner, photographer, bridesmaid and– of course, bride. And there’s an elegant reason: the power of the flower. It sounds cheesy but listen: flowers are symbol or romance, this much is universally known. I’ve summarized the importance of wedding florals for you, so continue reading! I’m truly impressed each and every time I photograph Bri and little Miss T. Every year, for the past three years, I’ve been given the wonderful opportunity to capture a few meaningful moments between this mother-daughter duo. The bond between these two is infectious, plus, who doesn’t love a fun day at the beach? Check […]

In fact, I am all about it, especially when I’m photographing a gorgeous and super in-love couple like Brenda and Scott at Moloaa Bay, who were constantly stealing kisses and wrapping themselves up in each […]

Let me stop for a second to tell you that I am seriously the luckiest photographer in the world. Lihue is gorgeous. My clients are always so wonderful to work with. That’s true of my session with the Amos family, too! I met up with them where they were staying at the Kalanipu`u Resort in […]

You don’t have to ask me twice to head to Anini – my happy place – for an photo shoot! That’s where I photographed Dave and Ashley, and it was an absolute dream session in every way.  Ashley made this fantasy date happen as a surprise for her hubby to celebrate their 10 year anniversary […]

When I was young girl growing up in Kansas I used to play office in my Grandma’s family home office. I had my own phone and important paperwork. I loved being a businesswoman, even at the age of 4. I remember a photo that was framed in that family room. It was a photo of […]
