One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer in Hawaii is how many intimate weddings and elopements I get to be a part of. There’s something so pure and magical about two people alone on a beach pledging to love each other forever. Gets me every time. As everyone knows, Hawaii is one of the most beautiful destinations on the planet. This allows opportunities for breathtaking wedding photos. However, we can always do better! I want my couples to completely trust me to authentically capture their weddings, and part of that is getting to know them before their day. But because I live on the small Hawaiian island of Kauai, many couples I shoot for are not local, instead they have hired me online to photograph their dream destination wedding.
